The Elemental Spectrum is a system of categorizing the primary elemental identities within the Manaverse in the form of a "range" or a "spectrum." It is separated into a primary loop, with three "primordial elements" that exist outside of the loop.

Properties

The "primary loop" of the Elemental Spectrum comprises the elements of Fire through Water. There are seven "colors" that make up this loop. The elements of this loop are all a part of nature, particularly when referring to the

The primordial elements are those elements that are more ingrained in the universe itself. Light, Darkness, and Aether are all considered primordial elements due to the deep level to which they are ingrained in the Manaverse. For instance, Aether is the element that corresponds to the fabric of the universe. It pertains to effects such as those of space, time, gravity, and other similar things.

Behavior

As the Elemental Spectrum is, in essence, a wavelength, the process of transforming Mana into its elemental forms involves generating the desired wavelength (referred to as [Element]shifting, e.g. Watershifting, Darkshifting, Nullshifting). Elementally-neutral Mana is assigned a wavelength without any particular oscillation, although it can be "shifted" into an elemental form by manipulating the wavelength. This is achieved by [...].

Extraspectral Elements

Although the Elemental Spectrum is only a loop of elements corresponding to red through purple (with the "primordial elements" set apart), it is possible to artificially produce an elemental wavelength. These "extraspectral elements" exist outside of the traditional spectrum, although they can also be used in magiological processes. In essence, if there is someone with an exceptionally strong affinity to a concept, that concept can be transformed into a "extraspectral" element.

As these are not "real" elements, per se, it normally does not matter if an average person "defines" an extraspectral element for their magic somewhere in the Manaverse. Since they are artificial, by nature they are generally unable to susbtantially change the way reality operates by their existence alone. A prominent example is the "element" of Sound [...].
